Mandatory Smart Serve 5-Year Recertification Will Begin July 1, 2022
On November 9, 2021, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) announced they are introducing a new 5-year Smart Serve recertification requirement, effective July 1, 2022. Read the full AGCO news bulletin – CLICK HERE
If you hold a certificate issued PRIOR to July 1, 2018, your certificate will expire on June 30, 2023.
Anyone certified on or after July 1, 2018, will have 5-years, from the date of issue, to recertify. It will be the certificate holder’s responsibility to recertify BEFORE their certificate expires.
How do I renew my Smart Serve certificate?
- Step 1: Login or register at smartserve.ca
- Step 2: Purchase and complete the online training
- Step 3: Take the proctored Final Test (mobile friendly)
- Step 4: Download, save or print your eCertificate
